Microcosmos: Le peuple de l’herbe

Comments: I got interested in watching this because of the video linked. Bugs and Radiohead make a great combination, especially when the song gets to the most dramatic part and they synch it with rain! The actual film made me appreciate, or at least remember to take in count the scale of things.

When you see two snails wrapped in a passionate embrace, a beetle persevering to get get its ball of shit out of a branch and keep going, and the violence of the rain at a small scale….you just shut up, kiss your lover in slow motion, stop bitching about life and thank whatever you believe it that an asteroid hasn’t smothered you with a single blow.

Comments: My favourite movie. Reserved when I need a hit of pure adrenaline. The one that always remembers me why I chose to major in film. This is about the fourth time I’ve watched it, since I treasure the energy it gives me.

Perfect, every single time.

Mission accomplished.

I feel fear for the last time. - Dr. Manhattan

Comments: After watching this, I proceeded on reading the novel, and without a single doubt, Dr. Manhattan/Jon Osterman is now my favourite comic book character.
